Our general auction is held every 4–6 weeks at The Bocking Arts Theatre. You can bid in the room, leave a commission bid, bid by telephone or, for our specialist sales, bid live online.
Viewing and sale times
On auction day (Wednesday) viewing runs from 11am to 6pm and the sale starts at 6.30pm. Specialist auctions are viewed on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and start at 10.30am on Sunday.
- In the room — register your name and address with proof of identity at reception and collect a bidding number before the sale commences.
- Commission bids — if you cannot make it, we will execute bids on your behalf free of charge up to the maximum you set. “Buy” or unlimited bids are not accepted; please place commission bids within one hour of the close of the view day.
- Telephone bids — register with the Saleroom Manager within one hour of the close of the view day. Written confirmation is required from bidders unknown to us.
- Live online — for our specialist sales you can watch and take part live online, placing your own bids on the items of your choice.
Written condition reports are available for all lots on request up to 24 hours before the sale. A buyer’s premium of 20% of the hammer price is payable on each lot.
