We are a small, friendly general auction house located in Bocking, Braintree, Essex.

We can help sell your antiques, collectables and all general items quickly and easily, in regular sales held every 4–6 weeks.

Braintree and Bocking Auctions

Based in Braintree and Bocking town centre, we are proud to offer a dedicated, professionally run auction room. It is set in a Victorian theatre — The Bocking Arts Theatre — which holds many events such as stamp fairs, vinyl and CD fairs, collectors’ fairs, furniture restoration workshops, comedy nights and cabaret nights. The theatre also holds an antiques centre, with on-site experts available seven days a week who will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Our general auction is held every 4–6 weeks and accepts:

We always have a good range of antiques and collectables of all sorts, including furniture and artwork — you will be surprised at what you may come across. So if you are a collector, or enjoy buying and selling as a hobby, always remember to take a look at our catalogue.

Opening times

  • Monday – Friday: 10am – 5pm — auction entries and antiques centre
  • Wednesday (auction day): viewing 11am – 6pm, sale starts 6.30pm
  • Saturday: 10am – 5pm — auction entries, specialist auction viewing and antiques centre
  • Sunday: 11am – 3pm — antiques centre; specialist auction starts 10.30am
